GNCC Francis Dykes Memorial Bonspiel

in addition registering before their registration is considered completed and accepted (see below).

The Pittsburgh Curling Club is proud to host the 82nd Annual Francis Dykes Memorial Bonspiel. The Francis Dykes Memorial Bonspiel is the Grand National Curling Club’s championship event for male curlers who are 21 years or older and have 5 or fewer years of curling experience.

The event is limited to 40 teams on a first-come, first-served basis. The event will be held February 24-27, 2022. With 40 teams, the event will start Thursday at 9:00am and go through Sunday last draw at 3:30pm.

Eligibility & Rules

Proof of Covid-19 vaccination will be required for all team members, staff and guests. 

The GNCC 5 and Under eligibility form will need to be completed and submitted with your registration. Download the eligibility form HERE.

The bonspiel rules will follow the “GNCC 5 and Under” bonspiel rules. Download the rules HERE.

All other rules are based on the USCA rules.
Any other specific rules will be distributed to the participating teams prior to the event.

Registration is open now and will close on January 31, 2022. Each GNCC club is guaranteed one spot in the event if registration is completed by December 31, 2021. After that date, registration opens up for multiple teams from the same GNCC club.

Registration is considered completed and accepted when all three components listed below have been received by the registration cutoff date. A berth will not be guaranteed until all three components are received.

Entry Fee

The team entry fee is $420.

Entry fee includes:

  • three-game guarantee
  • four medal events
  • lunch & dinner at the curling club

Games will start Thursday at 9:00am with all medal event finals on Sunday at 3:30pm. Draws will be posted prior to commencement of the event and will be updated throughout the event.
