We are scheduling events for October 1, 2023 through May 31, 2024.

Private Curling

The great sport of curling appeals to people of all ages and physical abilities and lets men and women compete equally. Curling encourages strategy, leadership, team communication, problem solving, sportsmanship, socialization and competition. It also provides a fun, unique and memorable experience. Curling can provide fun-filled a day, where everyone interacts and works together as a team toward a shared goal.

Typically, the private curling experience will consist of 30-45 minutes of on-ice instruction and an hour, to an hour and a half, of instructed game play.

The Pittsburgh Curling Club can provide you with a fun and unique place to host your event or party. Some of the reasons to have an event at the Pittsburgh Curling Club may include:

  • Corporate team building exercises
  • Client entertainment
  • Social events
  • Birthday parties
  • Bachelor/Bachelorette parties
  • Unique group experiences

Your event/party can be booked for anytime that there are no other events/leagues booked; typically we book corporate events during the day on weekdays, but you are not limited to this time period. If you would like to utilize the club’s warm room before or after your event, please contact us.

Please note that we are volunteer run organization and replies might take up to 48 hours.

Curlers with cranky knees, sore backs, other mobility issues can enjoy the greatest game on ice using the stick, a delivery device that allows a player to play without using a traditional slide delivery. Let us know if it may be difficult to do a traditional slide delivery, and we can help get you all set. Check out this video on stick curling.

The Pittsburgh Curling Club also has Wheelchair Curling.

Nothing – We have rubber grippers that you can put on the bottom of your shoes and brooms for you to use.

You should dress in warm, comfortable clothes – track pants or sweatpants work best. You want to wear layers that could be removed, when you are sweeping, you will get warm quickly.  If you typically get cold easily, you might want to have additional layers, a hat and/or gloves.  On-ice temperature is usually around 35 – 40°F.

Please wear clean athletic rubber soled shoes such as tennis shoes. We prefer that you bring your shoes and change them after entering the building, in an effort to reduce the amount of outside dirt that makes it onto the ice.
