PCC yard sale earns cash for the Building Fund!

Not only did lots of you donate unwanted items for our yard sale, we sold MOST of them, earning over $1000!!  Hosted at Marie and Steve’s, Amanda Marchitelli organized and advertised,  Steve Marchitelli and Jacki Temple carried items to people’s cars, Joanne Berwick took charge of toys and home goods, and Steve Buffington proved quite the tool salesman, selling EVERY tool on site – even those missing a LOT of parts.  “One guy who already owned TEN chainsaws bought two more – and then came back and bought ALL of the flower arrangements!” said a very happy Marie.  Meanwhile, Jacki quickly learned the art of bargaining and was heard using the phrase “Let’s start at $15″.  All in all, a complete success.  Many thanks to those who helped and donated.  And a special thanks to Amanda’s parents: they showed up at the end of the day with a truck and took the few remaining items to a local thrift shop letting the rest of us SIT!!

Day of Giving – Thanks to our Donors!

The Pittsburgh Curling Club thanks everyone’s participation in this year’s Day of Giving. We raised $10,468.34 from 48 donors! Generosity from club members, friends and family help cement the club’s future in Pittsburgh! THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH!!!

PCC Yard Sale – Clean your house to help build ours!

Sat Aug 16! Donate your “treasures” and we’ll turn them into cash for the PCC!

Here’s how it works: drop off your items to be sold between 8A and 4P Sat Aug 16.  We’ll sell them and the money goes to the Building Fund.  If your item doesn’t sell, you’re more than welcome to come and pick it up (we won’t hold these).  The idea is “pricing to sell” and “pricing to fund our club”.  So clean out your attics, garages, cars – wherever you’ve got stuff stashed that you no longer need!  It’s for a good cause and this doesn’t cost you a thing!  There will also be a collection site available Friday August 15 if this is more convenient.  Contact Amanda: for more information.  Location: Marie and Steve’s.  202 shafer road, coraopolis, 15108.  PS stay and help run the sale – lunch is provided!
