Juniors and Youth Curling
Pittsburgh Curling Club is working to establish our Junior and Youth Curling Programs.
Our Junior and Youth Curling Programs will be open for ages of 8-18. Our primary objective is to have fun and develop a lifelong passion for curling. Everyone is welcome and all curling equipment will be provided. As curling is a game of etiquette, we encourage and promote good sportsmanship both on and off the ice.
More information will be posted as it becomes available.
Youth Curling
- Ages 8-13 ( ages outside of this age range will be decided on a case-by-case basis )
- Sessions will be approximately an hour long and start with some drills followed by some kind of curling game.
- Socialization after the games is highly encouraged, curlers call this Broomstacking.

Competitive Junior Curling
Junior and Youth Bonspiels ( curling tournaments )
Numerous curling clubs around the country hold Junior and Youth Bonspiels throughout the year. These are a good chance to meet some great people and test your skills against other teams. Some of these Bonspiels also are qualifiers for USA Curling’s National Championship
USA curling’s Junior U21 National Championships
Junior U21 National Championships are aimed at developing junior curling by providing a competitive experience to determine the nation’s top teams (boys and girls) under the age of 21. The winning teams at the U.S. Junior National Championships advance to represent the United States at the World Junior Curling Championships.
USA curling’s U18 National Championships
U18 National Championships are aimed at developing junior curling by providing a competitive experience to determine the nation’s top teams (boys and girls) under the age of 18.
